Data Scientist

The position:

We are looking for an experienced, sharp-minded, and creative Data Scientist to join our growing R&D department. The position aims at defining and designing the processes by which Trigo measures its KPIs, leading a holistic analysis of the performance of Trigo’s platform, and developing algorithms in order to make the analysis robust and seamless.

A day in the life:

• Statistically validate measurement methods, plan and manage suitable experiments, and shape the resulting measurement protocols
• Analyze the system’s performance across stores retrofitted by Trigo, understand the impact of different factors, and help predict future challenges
• Design algorithms aiming at automating the measuring processes
• Implement your ideas with production-grade code, working side-by-side with engineers in your team
• Work closely with the Product and Operation departments, gaining and using a deep understanding of the bigger picture
• Produce clear and profound insights to direct R&D efforts towards improving the product’s KPIs

You bring to the table:

• MSc. in Mathematics \ Statistics \ Physics \ Computer Science \ Electrical Engineering
• At least 5 years of relevant experience and a track record in Data Science for decision making, working with predictive and probabilistic models. Experience with Causal Inference is an advantage
• A mission-oriented critical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
• A team player by nature
• Sound theoretical understanding of statistics
• Strong hands-on development experience, preferably in Python
• Proven ability to build and deliver data solutions in a short time frame
• Excellent in conveying and presenting complex ideas in a simple manner
