"We are constantly observing how the needs of today's consumers change dynamically, hence a large variety of shopping paths we offer and our focus on combining digital solutions with new concepts of brick-and-mortar stores. In the case of the Trigo platform introduced in Auchan GO, we particularly appreciate not only its exceptional accuracy and reliability, but also the flexibility and scalability of the solution. This advanced system provides the technological capability to efficiently digitize and automate both small and larger store formats, with more shoppers and more product diversity... Ultimately, we plan to open approximately 40 outlets of this type over the next few years."

Auchan’s latest autonomous store is Trigo’s 1st store in Poland!

The city of Warsaw, Poland now has a fully autonomous, complete grocery experience powered by Trigo’s technology. Auchan’s second Trigo-powered store is now open in the Odolany neighborhood of Warsaw. Shoppers at this 100% autonomous store can tap their debit or credit cards to enter and exit, no app or code scanning required, and enjoy 24/7 access to full grocery assortment. In a city dotted with autonomous nano stores featuring a limited selection, this new store stocks a wide assortment of products, including fresh produce, chilled and frozen foods, coffee and baked goods, and hygiene products. Trigo’s sophisticated and powerful computational platform supports large format stores with vast product assortments and provides the technological capability for Auchan to efficiently digitize and automate larger store formats to serve more shoppers.

Auchan chose to open its first Trigo-powered store in Poland at this central location, a fast-developing neighborhood marked by the quick rise of large, modern apartment complexes. A hub of public transport, this area sees significant footfall at all hours of the day and night.

A new tap-and-go experience is another milestone in seamless checkout

The new Auchan store features our latest tap-and-go experience designed to further minimize friction and promote broad adoption. To enter and checkout, shoppers simply tap their cards at the gate, no app downloads or QR code scans necessary. Auchan’s first Trigo-powered store, dubbed Auchan Go le Lab, opened less than two months ago in France and was the first store to enable this contactless tap-and-go experience. With this new store Trigo further cements its partnership with Auchan and stepping out of the corporate office environment and into a new market.

One of the world’s largest retailers, Auchan operates more than 2,000 stores of all food retail formats, from hypermarkets and supermarkets to convenience stores and drive-throughs, in 13 countries across Europe and Asia. Innovation is one of Auchan’s core values. The retailer has been experimenting with smart store formats for several years before choosing to partner with Trigo. This new store is a mark of a strong partnership. Auchan is joining strategic partners such as REWE, Tesco, Aldi, and Netto, who are actively pushing forward retail experiences and innovation.
