The position:

We are looking for a top-notch algorithms team leader with a background in research and managerial experience. You and your team will be responsible for solving complex, multidisciplinary algorithmic challenges, which are at the very core of our groundbreaking technology. A day in the life:

  • Build and manage a team of extremely talented algorithm researchers
  • Solve real-world problems through cutting-edge research involving optimization, multi-view geometry, computer vision, and more
  • Lead full development cycles, from problem definition and early ideation to production-grade code
  • Partner with engineering teams to integrate your team’s work into Trigo’s system\
  • Engage in cutting-edge research to address real-world problems for which no “off the shelf” solutions exist. Innovatively harness ideas from algorithmic literature – both classic and state-of-the-art
  • Cooperate with fellow researchers specializing in an array of disciplines
  • Work side-by-side with engineering teams to plan on how to integrate your solution into the system’s architecture

You bring to the table:

  • Ph.D. or MSc. in Physics\Applied Mathematics\Electrical Engineering or similar fields
  • At least 4-5 years of experience as a researcher, followed by at least 2 years of research management
  • Experienced with solving multi-variable optimization problems
  • Sound theoretical understanding of classical machine learning
  • Strong technical abilities in object-oriented programming, preferably Python
  • Proficiency in Python’s scientific computing stack: NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-Learn, and Pandas
  • A mission-oriented critical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a team player by nature
  • Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills
  • A real passion for beautiful algorithms, backed by strong analytical skills and sound theoretical knowledge

Nice to have:

  • Field-specific background in calibration, computer vision, multi-view geometry, sensor fusion, or Bayesian inference
  • Experience with a full development cycle from idea to production
  • Acquaintance with deep learning theory, techniques, and frameworks
